Bio
Christian recording artist, Chayah Miranda (pronounced "kai-yah") has spent most of her life around the gospel music of her church and of the jazz influences from her mother and grandmother, who are both singers. The song in her heart runs through her blood and is the driving force of everything she does. Beginning at the young age of five years old, Chayah has shared her love of music and singing at her church, school, talent shows and at many events throughout the United States. At the age of fifteen and with the help of her beloved vocal teacher, Sakai whom she met during a meeting with Grammy award-winning music producer Narada Michael Walden (Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey) Chayah began training for her career as a recording artist and began performing for events throughout the United States.
At seventeen years old during high school, Chayah began developing her talent in songwriting with the guidance of music producer Eric Gonzaga. During this time, Chayah began to develop her own musical style and sound both as a recording artist and songwriter. Together, they spent years developing Chayah’s artistry, songwriting, and singing while also writing songs for other local artists throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. A few years later, Chayah went on to continue her musical education at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. There she earned a Bachelor's degree in Professional Music Performance and Music Business.
During her third year at Berklee College of Music, Chayah met another student who also attended her church, the Boston Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Church. After many months of persistently inviting Chayah to join the Bible study group on campus, Chayah finally agreed to attend the Bible study, and there began her journey to meeting Jesus Christ, her personal Savior. At this point in her life, church was simply something she just did out of familiarity, not because she believed in God's love and in His healing power. As she attended the Bible studies, Chayah began to realize how amazing God truly was and how much he loved her and all of humanity. This understanding of how much God loves every person became paramount to Chayah especially during the next great trial of her life. Here, she explains in her own words:
“Later that year, I found myself completely sick and bedridden. My whole body was in so much pain, I couldn’t move. I could barely walk to the bathroom in my apartment. I remember lying in my bed and reading this book, Steps to Christ. I wanted so badly for the pain to go away and to be healthy and strong again. I had been in bed sick for about a month and didn’t tell anyone. As I read the book, there was a passage that touched my heart and soul. It said that all I had to do was surrender to God and ask Him to come into my life and heal me. In that moment as tears came pouring down my face, I prayed and asked God to heal me and come into my heart. I felt His presence there right beside me, and I knew that He had heard my prayer and that I was going to be ok. Maybe this was His way of shaking me and waking me up so that I would turn to Him in my pain. Giving my life to Jesus was the best decision I have ever made in my life.”
After her recovery, Chayah joined a college missionary training program called STRIDE in which she and a group of college students traveled to different campuses around the Boston area to offer Bible studies, free meals, and health presentations to the students.
Shortly after graduating from Berklee College, Chayah began working on her debut album, No Other Way, which she recorded with producer Josh Robinson in Nashville, Tennessee. She has since continued to share her faith through her music and has dedicated and given her life to God.
In April 2014, Chayah released her first solo debut studio album titled, No Other Way.
In June of that same year, Chayah also released a Live EP, Alive & Unplugged.
Since releasing her albums, Chayah has performed in churches and evangelistic meeting and conferences throughout the United States and internationally. In 2019, Chayah earned her Master of Religion degree from Washington Adventist University to further her knowledge of God’s Word and of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Today with her faith in Jesus Christ and through her music, Chayah continues to sing, songwrite, and to perform her songs to share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to people throughout the United States and abroad. It is Chayah’s mission to inspire, encourage and uplift people by spending her life singing about God’s message of faith, hope, and love to all people throughout the world.
“I want everyone to know that there is a God in heaven who loves them so much; that there is hope no matter what you are going through. All you have to do is open up your heart and give Jesus a chance to help you and to strengthen you. For when you ask God for His help and guidance, that’s when miracles will happen; that’s when you’ll see your life change in the most amazing way.” – Chayah

Try to see the good in people. Try to see them how God sees them. Then we can begin to love them the way Jesus love… https://t.co/BjHNALjjgz
